Installing Folio

Distribution is pending. There is no consumer download or Chrome installation link available from this page yet.

When release requirements are complete, install only through the Folio companion download and Chrome Web Store links published here. Folio's current beta requires an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 13.5 or later, Google Chrome, and access to University of Central Arkansas Brightspace. Connected publishers may require separate school-provided access.

Open the downloaded Folio app, choose a new workspace or the supported import option, and install the Folio extension from its Chrome Web Store listing. In the app, choose Open Folio, read the disclosure, connect your school, and sign in on the school's own website. Your dashboard becomes available when course information has been gathered; some materials may take longer.

Normal installation should not require technical setup commands, developer mode or security overrides. If macOS cannot verify the developer or check the app, stop and contact foliostudyapp@gmail.com.

Optional AI teaching requires separate availability and configuration; an AI subscription is not included. Do not share a developer's API key. Course organization is available without AI.

For an existing workspace, follow the approved import instructions before creating a populated new workspace. Keep the original data until import verification and restart checks are complete. Do not delete your original folder to fix an import refusal.
